About the Facility
The Institution of Engineers (India) provides Guest House accommodation at its Headquarters in Kolkata for visiting members. These rooms are meant to support members attending official programmes, meetings, training sessions, or Centre-related work.
Accommodation is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to availability. All bookings must be made in advance through written request or email. WhatsApp and SMS requests are not accepted.
Room availability, tariff details, and payment instructions are shared only after approval of the booking request.
Who Can Book
Guest House facilities at IEI Headquarters are restricted to Corporate Members only. Members must submit their booking request along with valid identity proof.
At the time of check-in, members must carry an original photo ID, such as:
IEI Membership Identity Card
Passport
Driving Licence
Voter ID Card
Only confirmed bookings with full advance payment are accepted.
Booking Rules & Important Guidelines
To ensure smooth operations and safety for all guests, the following rules apply:
Booking requests must be sent by letter or email to the House Supervisor.
Accommodation is confirmed only after receipt of full payment in advance.
Check-in time is 12:00 noon and check-out time is 11:00 AM.
Early check-in or late check-out may be allowed for up to two hours, subject to availability.
Room keys must be handed to security staff when leaving the premises temporarily.
Personal locks are not permitted under any circumstances.
Members are responsible for any damage to IEI property during their stay.
No extra persons are allowed in rooms.
A maximum of two children below 12 years may stay without extra bedding.
Booking is not allowed for guests undergoing treatment for communicable diseases or requiring medical care.
The maximum stay allowed is five days.
Pets are not permitted in the Guest House.
Cooking, heavy washing, or use of electric heaters and cookers is not allowed.
Wi-Fi facilities are currently not available.
Cancellations & Processing Charges
If a confirmed booking is cancelled, processing charges apply:
Cancellation one day before arrival: ₹400 per room
Cancellation two days before arrival: ₹300 per room
Cancellation more than two days in advance: ₹200 per room
